Alison Taylor was born & bred in Staffordshire. After graduating from the University of Birmingham in International Studies in 1981, she moved to Oxford, with a scholarship, to train in mental rehabilitation & Social Welfare with the Richmond Fellowship. She is a member of the Personal Finance Society, holds their Diploma & is looking to achieve Chartered status in the near future.

 

Having practiced as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) since 1983, she has specialized in the investment & protection of damages awards for the last 16 years. She has been involved in many leading cases both from the investment perspective and as a Court Expert for Structured Settlements, Periodic Payment Orders and Personal Injury Trusts.

 

Alison has regularly run workshops for lawyers on various aspects of her role as an IFA working alongside the legal profession & has been featured both in the mainstream and legal press.

 

Alison is an active supporter & trainer for APIL, CPIL, Headway, the SIA and AVMA.
