Frenkel Topping launches subsidiary company Mainstay Life Services Ltd, responding to the holistic needs of our personal injury clients. Mainstay provides specialist help in case management and facilitating rehabilitation following an injury or clinical negligence.

We establish a trading relationship with one of the largest Structured Settlement companies in the US.

Frenkel Topping instructs parliamentary lobbyists to canvass for the necessary changes in the 1995 and 1996 Finance Acts, which puts Structured Settlements on a statutory footing.

Frenkel Topping develops Special Needs Trusts, a product designed to enable personal injury clients, who are also recipients of means tested benefits, to keep these benefits following the award of damages.

Frenkel Topping is a significant contributor to the Law Commission Consultation Paper to make Structured Settlements accessible to virtually the whole of the personal injury market.

Frenkel Topping becomes the first firm to establish Structured Settlements in the case of Kelly -v- Dawes. A Structured Settlement is the purchase of a tax free annuity which gives an income for the rest of the client's life.
